ELEVEN - VERY HUGE BOOK

This book is a collection of all the black & white photos of me by Pascal posted on his Instagram account since November 4, 2016, the first birthday post, until November 4, 2023, for my thirtiest birthday, including those later deleted by Instagram “for p*rnography”.

This is a double celebration, both of my thirty years, as well as Pascal and I’s seven years collaboration.

This is also our eleventh book together, hence its title — which is also a reminder of November, the eleventh month when we celebrate both our birthdays, which are eleven days apart.

For this book, we have chosen the only printer capable of making a book with such impressive measurements, Design & Art, an Italian workshop specialized in the making of luxury books, including the legendary Taschen’s Sumo Books (Annie Leibowitz, Helmut Newton or David Hockney’s Bigger Book).

This book is being entirely hand-manufactured, each page being glued then sown individually, minuscule defects (white specks, guillotining border) may appear in very few places because of the several steps of handling during its making.

Ce livre regroupe toutes les photos de moi en noir et blanc postées par Pascal sur son compte Instagram depuis le 4 novembre 2016, date du premier post jusqu’au post du 4 novembre 2023, date de mon trentième anniversaire — y compris celles qui ont été entre-temps supprimées par Instagram « pour p*rnographie » .

Il représente une double commémoration, à la fois de mes trente ans, et des sept ans de collaboration avec Pascal.

C’est également le onzième livre que nous réalisons ensemble, d’où son titre — qui rappelle également le mois de novembre, celui de nos deux anniversaires à onze jours d’intervalle.

Pour ce livre, nous avons fait appel au seul imprimeur capable de réaliser un ouvrage de dimensions aussi importantes, Design & Art, une entreprise italienne spécialisée dans la fabrication de livres de luxe et notamment des légendaires Sumo Books de Taschen (Annie Leibowitz, Helmut Newton ou encore le Bigger Book de David Hockney).

Ce livre étant entièrement fabriqué à la main, chaque page étant collée puis cousue individuellement, de minuscules défauts (points blancs, liseré de massicotage) peuvent apparaître en de rares endroits en raison des multiples étapes de manipulation durant sa fabrication.
